"Just a Rescue
Pet?" Here are some success stories from the wonderful
families that chose to adopt and were amazed and very proud of what their "Just a Rescue Pet" has
done and accomplished.
This
is Riley, he was just about a year old when he came to Dirty Paws and was known as Shaggy. He came to us from Evansville,
AC in Feb. of 2006 and was adopted by a wonderful family March of 2006. Since then he has become a very loved family member
and Graduated from Obedience School June 19, 2006!!!
Congratulations Riley!!!!

This is Hermione, she was a 1
- 2 year old Italian Greyhound/Poodle Mix that came to us in Jan 2006 from Henderson Co. Humane Society after being dumped
there by her family, she was known here as Cassie. We saw her in the shelter while we were there to pick up another
dog, I walked right past her thinking that she would have no problem getting adopted. We saw her again a week later on
death row ... we took her home that day. She was adopted by a wonderful family in Feb 2006 and will be starting her
next level of Obedience classes soon. She'll be taking classes at a dog training facility that also specializes in helping
train animals to become therapy dogs. So hopefully, Hermione will soon be able to go visit sick kids in the hospital!!
This
is Kennedy, now known as Rossi, she came to us from a shelter ... last in her litter so she was dumped there. She was adopted
by wonderful family and this is what they have to say about her ...
Rossi is as always
wonderful! She has become the perfect companion. She's very protective of our entire family. She loves playing
with her sister Martini. She has graduated puppy preschool, doggy kindergarten and is almost finished with doggy college. Her
dog obedience teacher says she's a natural! Everyone that meets her falls in love. She is an amazing girl
and we have loved every minute of watching her grow and learn.
